I’m Camden McKuras and married to the beautiful Rachel McKuras since 2019! I was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and grew up attending church. Despite growing up in church and being the “good” kid, my faith was shallow, and I could not understand what belief was even for. God knew all this though and was ready to take me on the ride of a lifetime. 

 

When I got to High School, I faced a crisis of priority in my life, and I was faced with the choice of prioritizing faith or a passion. Both good, both promising, both I have come to love and enjoy. Yet if I have chosen to prioritize the passion I would have continued to misunderstand faith. Thanks to a great conversation with my youth pastor I chose faith and was immediately challenged by God to test it. He asked me, the introvert who was socially awkward and silent, to preach. I ended up preaching on how God challenges people, despite having every opportunity to drop out from preaching.  Not only did my faith benefit from that challenge, but a friend’s faith grew as well.

 

I later got my calling to ministry, having no idea what that meant or why God has called me. However, over the course of getting leadership opportunities and internships, I have continually felt affirmed in this route of life. In 2021 I received my Masters in Practical Theology through Indiana Wesleyan University. I hope that no matter where I go for ministry or whatever position I hold, I will share the good news and make disciples. On Beautiful Feet is just one way I'm currently trying to live out my calling.
